SRINAGAR: National Conference (NC) President and former chief minister Dr. Farooq Abdullah Tuesday expressed grave concern over deteriorating security situation of Jammu & Kashmir, saying peace is indispensable need for both India and Pakistan to prosper.
“It is very unfortunate that trained personnel are coming from Pakistan. But we want peace to establish between India and Pakistan. Instead an atmosphere based on terror is being created. If it this continues a time will come when India will not be able to tolerate it. It (terrorism) should end,” Dr. Farooq told reporters in Srinagar.
Responding to a query he said, “The Government of India should take steps to stop terrorism. It is undoubtedly increasing and very trained people are coming from across the border. We want peace between the two countries. We pray for cordial relations between India and Pakistan”.
Dr Farooq added that situation is alarming and dangerous for us. “The people coming from across the border seems trained. This is a big threat for us. We believe peace is the only need for both India and Pakistan to prosper,” he said.
