DODA: Officials said on Thursday that 39 people had died in the bus accident in Doda district, and that the Jammu and Kashmir government had formed a three-person panel to investigate the circumstances leading up to the incident. On Wednesday, the bus in Doda district veered off the road and tumbled into a 300-foot ravine. After being taken to a hospital, twenty injured passengers passed away late on Wednesday night. A committee has been established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the accident near Assar in the Doda district, according to Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar.According to the officer, the committee will look into the incident and provide his office with a thorough inquiry report in a week. Dr. Ravi Kumar Bharti, additional district magistrate (ADM), Doda, superintending engineer, and assistant road transport officer are the members of the committee. Locals have attributed a number of accidents in the area to poor road conditions in the district, reckless driving, and overcrowding of vehicles.
