Recently, a series of terrorist attacks carried out by the banned terror group devastated Pakistan.
Last week, Taliban terrorists stormed two border checkpoints in the unrest-ridden Chitral district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, killing four Pakistani soldiers and injuring seven more.In 2007, the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was established as an organisation for a number of militant groups.
The group, which is thought to be affiliated with Al-Qaeda, has been held accountable for a number of violent incidents that have killed people around Pakistan, including an attack on the army headquarters in 2009, robberies at military installations, and the 2008 bombing of the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad.
