Winter Strategy In Place As Special Check Posts To Keep Surveillance Along J&K Borders

JAMMU, Jan 4: In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the security forces have reinforced border surveillance by installing special checkposts along the borders in order to thwart all evil schemes of the enemy, including attempts at infiltration that take advantage of fog. According to official sources, security forces have organised a winter strategy that will bolster surveillance along the International Border and the Line of Control in anticipation of cloudy days. This is intended to thwart attempts by intruders to infiltrate from across the fence. According to sources, "as dense fog grips the region, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, in conjunction with the Army and other sister concern agencies, have chalked out a winter mechanism to foil infiltration attempts being made from across the fence."They claimed that terrorists try to cross this side of the border by taking advantage of the thick fog, but a clever winterization system has been put in place to foil their plans. They went on, "We are setting up additional surveillance posts along the International Border and the Line of Control with enhanced patrolling." They said that in order to stop terrorists and anti-national elements from hiding out, surprise search operations are also stepped up in the vicinity of the forests."In addition to installing extra check posts and maintaining special surveillance in areas deemed sensitive from an infiltration point of view, residential settlements adjacent to forested and hilly areas will also undergo surprise cordon and search operations," the sources stated. According to them, the J&K Police, in collaboration with the Army and paramilitary groups, have developed a strategy to destroy the terrorism ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir. “My biggest asset is my honesty” says Kejriwal, alleges ED summons are “false”

NEW DELHI: Chief Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal claimed that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had sent him a "false summons," adding that he had told the ED why the summons was unlawful and that his greatest quality and strength was his "honesty." The Chief Minister of Delhi stated, "All of the BJP's agencies have conducted numerous raids over the last two years, but not a single penny was found," during a press conference on Thursday. Where is the money if corruption exists? Leaders of the AAP are detained in these fictitious cases. BJP now wants to put me in jail. My honesty is my greatest quality and strength." The chief minister of Delhi questioned why the notice was sent out so close to the Lok Sabha elections of 2024 and claimed that the BJP was trying to prevent him from running for office. "I wrote the question and sent it to ED after receiving legal advice that the summons was unlawful. Must I comply with an invalid summons? Should a formal summons be issued, I will honour it. Why am I being called right before the elections to the Lok Sabha? When CBI called me eight months ago, I went and provided all the information. They want to prevent me from running for the Lok Sabha elections today," he continued. The AAP chief went on to say that he has always fought for the country and will continue to do so until the day he dies. "Today, ED is being used to integrate opposition leaders into the BJP. Everyone who joins his party solves all of his problems. Honest leaders like Vijay Nair, Sanjay Singh, and Manish Sisodia have been imprisoned today. I have consistently battled for my nation. My every breath is dedicated to the nation. Together, we must save the nation. I need your help, I'm fighting them with everything I have," he declared. The chief minister of Delhi disregarded the ED's third summons, which was sent to him on Wednesday. In relation to the alleged Delhi liquor scam case, the ED issued CM Kejriwal a third summons on December 22 of last year, requesting that he appear before the agency on January 3. In his response to the ED earlier on Wednesday, Kejriwal stated that he was willing to assist with the investigation but that he would not be attending the scheduled date of the summons because the notice was "illegal." Kejriwal also questioned the agency about why it hadn't replied to his previous responses regarding the agency's investigation into the nature of the summons that he had received. "As a premier investigating agency, the non-disclosure and non-response approach adopted by you cannot sustain the test of law, equity, or justice," the Delhi CM wrote in his written response to the ED. Your intransigence amounts to taking on the roles of judge, jury, and executioner simultaneously, which is unacceptable in a nation where the rule of law is upheld." "In these circumstances, I urge you to respond to my earlier response and clarify the position so as to enable me to understand the real intent, ambit, nature, sweep and scope of the purported inquiry/investigation for which I am being called" he stated in his reply. IndiGo removes fuel charge on tickets

NEW DELHI: On Thursday, IndiGo announced that it has ceased to collect fuel charges from tickets, almost three months after enacting the fee in response to an increase in the cost of jet fuel. With effect from Thursday, the fuel charge—which the airline had implemented in early October 2023—has been eliminated. The airline claimed that the fuel fee has been removed because the cost of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) has recently decreased. "As ATF prices are dynamic, we will continue to adjust our fares and components thereof, to respond to any change in prices or market conditions," IndiGo stated in a statement. An operational carrier's expenses are mostly made up of fuel costs. Both domestic and international flights operated by the airline were subject to the fuel charge. According to IndiGo, the fuel fee was implemented in October 2023 in response to an increase in the price of ATF.
