SRINAGAR, Jan 25: In 33 years, the Jammu and Kashmir Police has lost more than 1600 personnel in the Pakistan-sponsored proxy war, making it the largest force among J&K's security forces, according to Director General R R Swain on Thursday. Speaking with reporters at Jammu's Police Headquarters, the DGP stated that the departure of 1600 employees serves as a standard and a watermark for the level of dedication to the country's security efforts. Jammu, Jan 25: According to officials, on Wednesday night, police in the Jammu region detained two people and charged six others for posting offensive content on social media with the intention of igniting conflict between two communities. According to a police spokesperson, Amit Sharma of Bajalta filed a complaint on behalf of the residents of the Jammu district's village Khana Chargal, alleging that two people, Zaffar Hussain and Nusrat of Bajalta, posted offensive content on the social media site Instagram that could incite animosity between two communities.The two were taken into custody after a report was filed at the Nagrota police station. There is currently an ongoing investigation into the case.
