Jammu, Feb 26: On Monday, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said that they had filed a lawsuit against an individual who was impersonating the additional director general of police in Jammu on several social networking sites. "A fraudster is using his image and other credentials to impersonate ADGP Jammu zone, Anand Jain on various social media platforms, with the intention of extorting money from people," a police statement reads. "The perpetrator made the profiles with malevolent intent. As a result, legal action has been started in accordance with the law," it stated without providing any more information. Social media users were also cautioned by the authorities not to reply to these fictitious personas.The statement read, "Any financial loss or other issues should be reported to the nearest cyber cell or police station in the respective districts." Police warned people not to connect with a phoney social media account that was impersonating the ADGP earlier on January 2. NEW DELHI, Feb 26: Mallikarjun Kharge, the leader of the Congress, wrote to President Droupadi Murmu on Monday, drawing attention to the "gross injustice" that the Agnipath project had inflicted upon the nation's youths who were seeking regular employment in the military services, and he urged her to see to it that justice was served for them. According to Kharge's letter to the President, the usual recruitment process in the armed forces has ended, leaving approximately two lakh young men and women without a clear future. The Indian Armed Forces' Supreme Commander is also the President. These young people dedicated years of their lives to pursuing their dreams, and according to Kharge, "the resulting frustration and hopelessness has even led to several reported deaths by suicide." We cannot accept this kind of suffering for our young people. He said, "I beg you to see to it that justice and NYAY are served. With the intention of reducing the age distribution of the three services, the government launched the Agnipath recruitment programme in June 2022 for the short-term entry of persons into the armed forces. It calls for the recruitment of young people for four years, between the ages of seventeen and a half and twenty-one, with the option to retain twenty-five percent of them for an additional fifteen years. Arvind Kejriwal skips seventh ED summons, AAP says agency should wait for court order

NEW DELHI: The AAP said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will not be appearing before the Enforcement Directorate on Monday over the money laundering investigation related to the alleged Delhi excise policy scam, and that the agency need to wait for the court judgement rather than issue repeated summonses. Kejriwal has evaded the ED summons seven times in a row. Last Monday, the agency sent the chief minister a seventh summons, requesting that he come in for questioning. Kejriwal has so far ignored every summons, referring to them as "illegal".Additionally, he had written to the ED to request their withdrawal. The AAP declared in a statement that the chief minister will not be appearing before the ED. It stated that rather than issuing out more summonses, the agency should wait for the Delhi court's decision on March 16 about the legitimacy of the ED summons. The argument that Kejriwal should not have received a fresh notice requiring his attendance because the case was still pending in a local court was dismissed by the ED when it issued the seventh summons. JAMMU: Anand Jain, the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) for the Jammu Zone, welcomed a group of eager youngsters from the districts of Poonch and Kathua to Bengaluru as part of the Bharat Darshan tour. According to a release, the programme aims to expose pupils to the rich history of the nation, promote cultural interaction, and instill a sense of solidarity. Together with three committed carers, 62 students—34 from the Poonch and 28 from the Kathua district—started their life-changing adventure, symbolising the lively variety and rich cultural heritage of J&K.The students will get the chance to see Bengaluru's historical sights, cultural attractions, and tech hotspots during the Bharat Darshan tour. They should learn about India's technology innovations and cultural diversity through interactive seminars, educational trips, and cultural exchanges. JAMMU: The historic Rani Samadhis complex and Shri Ranbireshwar Temple in Jammu city are undergoing urgent restoration and renovation thanks to the efforts of the Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust (JKDT). After the restoration and beautification projects are finished, each of these locations should see a significant makeover. Martand Singh, a trustee of the J&K Dharmarth Trust, made this statement after personally visiting the locations to monitor the advancement. The Trustee was joined by JKDT Secretary Ashok Sharma and Additional Secretary Varinder Singh Jamwal. The Trustee was updated by the Secretary of the present state and ongoing work. The Trustee emphasised the need of timely completion and gave instructions to complete the ongoing work within a given time frame while scrupulously maintaining quality standards.Martand Singh conveyed his happiness with the advancement of the renovation and restoration work being done at the Shri Ranbireshwar Temple in Jammu.
