JAMMU, Oct 26 : Two fraudsters from Uttar Pradesh state were taken into custody by Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Doda area after they deceived a complainant from the Kishtwar district. Two internet scammers, Adesh Singh of Chandokha, Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, and Vishal Partap Singh of Salemnpur Bharkha, Farrukhabad, Uttar Pradesh, have been taken into custody, according to the police. They were wanted in connection with a case that was filed in Police Station Thathri, district Doda. Both of the accused were taken into custody pursuant to court-issued, non-bailable warrants.The fraudster then gave the complaint a bill for Rs. 3,25,000/= along with an account number so that the complainant could make the payment, and the complainant transferred the money. Subsequently, the police reported that the complainant got a second call from the fraudster, claiming that the vehicle carrying the sugar was en route to Thathri when it broke down near Udhampur due to a mechanical issue. The fraudster then requested that the complainant send Rs. 5,000/= to the driver, Raju. Sensing foul play, the complainant requested that the fraudster transfer Rs. 5,000 to his account so that he could make arrangements to pay it, but the fraudster refused, and the complainant learned that he had been duped as a result, according to police.Officers The complaint was found to have been deceived and conned by online scammers during the course of the inquiry, and the charge sheet for the case was prepared when the investigation was finished. Due to the court's issuance of non-bailable warrants against the fraudsters, a police team was dispatched, and with the assistance of the UP Police, the two fraudsters were apprehended by the police team from Farrukhabad, UP, and brought before the court. Following this, they were placed under judicial remand at the District Jail Bhaderwah. Notably, the con artists are well-known interstate con artists and are implicated in several phishing cases that have been filed against them in Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, according to police.
