NIA seizes assets of Khalistani extremist Gurpatwant Singh in Punjab

CHANDIGARH: According to the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has seized the properties that Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, the leader of the outlawed Sikhs For Justice (SFJ) organisation, possessed in Chandigarh and Amritsar. A property confiscation notice pasted outside Pannun's residence at sector 15 in Chandigarh reads, "1/4th share of house no. #2033 Sector 15-C, Chandigarh, owned by Gurpatwant Singh Pannu, a 'proclaimed offender' in NIA case RC- 19/2020/NIA/DLI, stands confiscated to the state under section 33(5) of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, 1967 by orders of the NIA special court, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab, Dated 14/09/2023. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is one of the founders of the separatist organisation Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), which is based in the US. He actively campaigns for a separate state for Sikhs, which they refer to as Khalistan, in the US, Canada, and the UK. The Union Home Ministry declared Pannun a terrorist in July 2020, and two months later the government issued an order to seize his property in accordance with Section 51A of the strict Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. In his native state of Punjab, Pannun has been organising a campaign against India and inspiring young Sikhs to join militancy. NEW DELHI: On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that his administration is sincerely working to create laws in as many Indian languages as possible and in a straightforward manner. He declared at the opening of the International Lawyers' Conference that the justice system is greatly influenced by the language used to draw legislation and in the judicial system. We in the Indian government believe that there are two methods to create law. He told the group of lawyers in the audience, "One draught will be in the language you are familiar to. The second draught will be written in a language that the average person in the nation can understand. He ought to regard the law as his own.According to Modi, it used to be customary to write legislation in a convoluted manner. He praised the legal community and stated that the judiciary and the Bar have long protected India's justice system and were crucial to India's independence. The prime minister claimed that famous lawyers like Mahatma Gandhi , B. R. Ambedkar, Jawaharlal Nehru, and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel practised law. He noted that the meeting is taking place at a time when India has experienced multiple significant events. He remarked that the approval of the women's reservation bill in Parliament will provide women-led growth fresh direction and vigour. He also discussed the success of the Chandrayaan mission at the G20 Summit.India needs a solid and fair judicial system as its foundation as it strives to become a developed nation by 2047, he said. According to Modi, the world's increasing faith in India is largely due to impartial justice. India reaches No. 1 in ODIs, becomes top team in all formats

SEP 23, 2023 : Following their victory over Australia in the series opener, which propelled them to the top of the ODI rankings, India became the top-ranked team across all three game types. After defeating Australia by five wickets on Friday, India (116 rating points) surpassed Pakistan (115) to take the top spot in the rankings. India has already dominated the Test and T20 rankings and now dominates all other formats. A team has only ever reached the top spot across all formats once before in the history of men's cricket. Only South Africa had previously accomplished this feat, back in August 2012. Despite losing two points, Australia (111) continues to rank third in the ODI standings. The second of the three ODIs between India and Australia is on Sunday. Pakistan is undoubtedly the outlier in the neighbourhood. We must prevent terrorism from becoming commonplace. We cannot allow that to serve as the basis for talks with Pakistan, stated S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, in June of this year.After the terrorist assault in Pulwama on February 14, 2019, which resulted in the deaths of 40 members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), tensions between India and Pakistan grew. India replied by conducting airstrikes in Pakistan's Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province's Balakot. Six months later that year, India repealed Article 370, stripping Jammu and Kashmir of its special status. Govt terminates services of 2 doctors

JAMMU: Two doctors' services have been immediately terminated by the Jammu and Kashmir government. Due to the doctors' unauthorised absences from their assigned tasks, their employment was terminated. According to information, Dr. Asim Shameen Zaz, who was appointed as a medical officer, requested a leave of absence from work for 89 days in order to attend a wedding in Canada. However, after his leave had expired, the doctor did not return to his duties. In a separate order, the Jammu and Kashmir government today also terminated the employment of Dr. Kawaldeep Kour, a medical officer. She had requested a one-year study leave from her duties from the GMC in Baramulla, but she had failed to return to work after her leave had ended. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir's Secretary, Bhupinder Kumar, gave the orders to terminate their employment. 3-Day Mela Patt concludes in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH: The three-day historic Mela Patt at Bhaderwah was successfully finished thanks to Lord Vasuki Nag Ji's heavenly blessings. The J&K Dharmarth Trust collaborated with Dashnans to plan the event, which received support from the neighbourhood, in accordance with the directives of the Hon'ble Chairman Trustee and Trustees. The celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of Air Force Station, Jammu and the 76th anniversary of J&K's entry into the Indian Union was staged jointly by the Indian Air Force and the J&K Government. "The Indian Air Force is a shining example of determination, fortitude, and strength. I honour the members of the Indian Air Force for their outstanding bravery and selfless attitude. The Air Warriors and their families have my sincere appreciation, the Lt Governor remarked. People from all walks of life gathered to watch the IAF's Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT), Air Warrior Drill team, Aakashganga Daredevil Skydiving team, and Mi-17 1V Helicopters put on a breathtaking aerial performance.The Air Warriors displayed flawless flying and formation skills as the aircraft manoeuvred in the air. MotoGP: India’s distorted map broadcast live; J&K, Ladakh missing
