LG attends ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ at Panchayat Dhok Waziran

JAMMU: Today, Panchayat Dhok Waziran in Nagrota hosted the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra," which Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha attended. The Lieutenant Governor expressed gratitude to the PRI representatives and attendees for their enthusiastic involvement. He asked them to make contact with as many families as possible, spread the word about government programmes, and promote the enrollment of potential recipients. In order to create model villages in a comprehensive manner for better livelihood possibilities, an enhanced quality of life, and action-oriented Jan-Bhagidari for a happy, prosperous, and peaceful Panchayat, he highlighted the necessity of copying the best practises of Panchayat Dhok Waziran."Reaching out to the unreached and achieving 100% saturation of government schemes are priorities for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the Lieutenant Governor, "it offers rural and urban areas a significant opportunity to ensure that the common man and vulnerable section is empowered." He asked people to spread the word about the schemes, take use of the on-the-spot assistance being offered, and actively engage in the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra." According to him, individual success stories need to touch every region of UT in order to demonstrate the changes the government's main programmes have brought about in their lives."Through integrated action and involvement of every individual we can turn the villages into viable, sustainable economic centres and create opportunities for youth, women, farmers and vulnerable section to accomplish the vision of Viksit Bharat," stated the Lieutenant Governor. The Lieutenant Governor emphasised the J&K Government's efforts to guarantee that the underprivileged and weaker segments of society receive the benefits of welfare programmes. Under PMAY (G), the UT administration is giving 5 Marla of land to impoverished landless beneficiaries. According to him, this will eliminate current societal inequalities, improve the standard of living for impoverished and vulnerable landless households, and promote their social and economic development.Along with sharing their personal stories, Panchayat recipients Raman Wazir, Sarpanch Dhok Waziran, and others thanked the administration for extending benefits under various government programmes. The Lieutenant Governor paid a visit to the several departmental booths, observed a drone demonstration, and granted registration certificates to the newly established Farmer Producers Organisation members. On this occasion, the "Hamara Sankalp Viksit Bharat" vow was also given out. JAMMU, Dec 1: The J&K Pandurang K Pole Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) made the announcement and gave Suresh Raina the letter designating him as the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir's youth voter awareness ambassador. Speaking at the event, the CEO stated that Suresh Raina, a national hero in India and a cricket great, has a lot of influence, especially with young people. Avalanche Warning Issued For Kupwara In Next 24 Hrs

Kupwara, Dec 1 : An avalanche warning for the next 24 hours has been issued in JK's Kupwara by the Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA). Over the following 24 hours, an avalanche with a low hazard level is predicted by the authorities to occur above 2800 metres above sea level over the Kupwara district. According to JKDMA, "over the next 24 hours, an avalanche with a low danger level is likely to occur above 2,800 metres above sea level over Kupwara district."In addition, the authorities urged the locals to exercise caution and wait for further directives before entering any avalanche-prone locations. NEW DELHI, Dec 1: on keeping with its policy of "all roles-all ranks" for female troops, the Indian Navy has chosen the first female Commanding Officer on a naval ship, Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar announced on Friday. In a news conference held in advance of Navy Day, Admiral Kumar stated that for the last year, the Indian Navy's aircraft, ships, and submarines had maintained a high operational tempo in the crucial waters. He stated that the Indian Navy keeps an eye on all operations in the area, notwithstanding China's growing incursions into the Indian Ocean. "We have maintained a high operational pace with our ships, submarines, and aircraft, carrying out missions and tasks that include military, diplomatic, law enforcement, and benign roles," he stated.He declared, "Our units were mission deployed to protect and promote our national interests throughout the Indian Ocean Region and beyond." "What we call our'ships first' outlook, where every single action that we take is aimed to enable our women and men in operational units to perform their duties very well," has allowed the Navy to "remain a 'Combat-ready, Credible, Cohesive, and Future Proof' force." Jammu, Nov 30 : Kashmir and Jammu On Thursday, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha declared that his administration is prepared to conduct assembly elections in the Union Territory at the request of the Indian Election Commission. Taking aim at some political figures who disseminated false information about the upcoming elections, LG Sinha declared he would only depart Jammu and Kashmir following the successful completion of the assembly polls."Any information pertaining to arrangements that J&K was requested to provide to the ECI has been provided." "I want to announce from this platform that the J&K administration is prepared to hold elections whenever the ECI notifies us," Sinha stated at the "Samvaad" conference, which was hosted here by Amar Ujala. LG Sinha emphasised that the Election Commission of India is the only body with the authority to hold assembly votes, referring to the democratic procedures in J&K. In addition, he attacked political figures for supposedly deceiving the people."It was my responsibility to make sure the nation's writ was established—and is—in Jammu and Kashmir. Woman among 3 drug peddlers held in Baramulla: JKP

BARAMULLA: In the district of Baramulla in North Kashmir, police have detained three drug dealers, one of whom is a woman, as part of their ongoing efforts to eradicate the drug problem from society. They have also retrieved illegal substances from their hands. According to a spokesman, at a checkpoint set up at Kitchama near the service station, a police party from Police Station Sheeri, led by SHO PS Sheeri and overseen by DySP Hqrs Baramulla, stopped two men and a woman who were heading towards Kitchama on a scooter with the licence plate JK05-0116."They were later identified as Riyaz Ahmad Ganie son of Gh Hassan, Shokeen Ahmad Ganie son of Ab Jabar Ganie, both residents of Batangi Boniyar, and Saleema Begum wife of Mohd Ashraf Najar, resident of Mother Sheeri. During their search, 776 grammes of contraband heroin-like substance was recovered from their possession." They have been arrested and shifted to PS Sheeri where they remain in custody", he said. As a result, inquiries have been launched and a case under pertinent legal sections has been filed at police station Sheeri. Hazaribag (Jharkhand), Dec 1: India's two main borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh would be fully guarded over the next two years, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who stated on Friday that efforts are now being made to close gaps in a 60-kilometer length along these two fronts. Shah was speaking following his salute from the BSF's ceremonial parade, which was held in honour of the BSF's 59th Raising Day festivities.The minister stated that in the nine years since taking office, the Narendra Modi administration has sealed and fortified gaps along roughly 560 kilometres of the borders between Bangladesh and Pakistan and India. According to him, work is only progressing on around 60 km of these two borders, which are on the western and eastern flanks of India, respectively, and all of the gaps are being filled in. We will completely protect these two borders in the next two years, according to Shah.Long riverine, hilly, and swampy landscapes separate the two borders—2,290 km for the India-Pakistan International Border and 4,096 km for the India-Bangladesh Border—making it difficult to build barriers. As a result, the BSF and other agencies deploy technological devices to detect infiltration. Speaking about Left Wing Extremism (LWE), Shah claimed that the nation was on the verge of eradicating this violent and militant movement led by Maoist cadres. He claimed that throughout the previous ten years, there has been a 52% decrease in Naxal violence occurrences, a 70% decrease in deaths related to these incidents, and a 176 percent decrease in the number of damaged police stations."The final attack on LWE by the BSF, CRPF, and ITBP is currently underway. We're committed to eradicate naxalism from the nation," he declared. The minister continued by saying that during the previous ten years, up to 199 new security force camps have been created in the LWE impacted areas. He declared, "I'm confident we'll win this battle."
