‘1 flag, 1 PM, one constitution’ not a political slogan: Amit Shah in LS

NEW DELHI: The idea of "one flag, one prime minister, one constitution" is not a political catchphrase, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who stated on Tuesday that the BJP sincerely believes in the idea and has finally put it into practise with regard to Jammu and Kashmir. Shah questioned how a nation could have two prime ministers, two constitutions, and two flags in response to TMC member Saugata Roy's statement in the Lok Sabha that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan (one flag, one head, one constitution)" was a "political slogan". Roy's comments, in his words, were "objectionable". Shah stated, "Whoever did it was wrong," in response to a statement made by the opposition benches. Narendra Modi made the correction.Whether you agree or disagree doesn't matter. Everybody in the nation desired it." This remark seemed to be a reference to Jammu and Kashmir's repeal of Article 370's provisions. "One symbol, one head, one constitution" was not an election slogan, he continued. "We had been saying since 1950 that a country should have one PM, one flag and one constitution and two will not do and we have done it." Union Minister Piyush Goyal said shortly after Roy concluded his remarks on the Jammu and Kashmir Reservation (Amendment) Bill and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill that although the TMC leader listed Syama Prasad Mukherjee, he ought to have also brought up his sacrifice.Roy claimed that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan" was his "political slogan" and that he had taught in a college bearing Mukherjee's name. Then Shah stood up to retaliate against the TMC member. MUMBAI: At the age of 57, actor Dinesh Phadnis, best known for portraying Fredericks in the smash television series CID, passed away on Tuesday. Dayanand Shetty, who co-starred with him in CID and played Daya in the show, revealed the news of his passing, saying, "Dinesh breathed his last at 12.08 am." The 57-year-old star was being treated at Tunga Hospital in Mumbai. Dinesh passed away from multiple organ failure, according to Shetty. He stated, "There were a lot of complications and he was removed from the ventilator last night." The actor's funeral is scheduled for 10.30 am in Mumbai. The whole cast of CID reportedly paid their final respects at Dinesh's residence."We know that he had liver issues and it had an impact on the other organs," said actor Aditya Srivastava, who played Inspector Abhijeet on the show. He was quite sick for two or three days. He was not able to live." According to earlier reports, Dinesh was admitted to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest on Sunday. Shetty later stated that liver damage, not cardiac arrest, was the cause. After starring as Fredericks in the enduring TV series CID, which debuted in 1998 and ran for 20 years on Sony TV, Dinesh gained widespread recognition. J&K Has Witnessed Lot Of Change In Last 4Yrs: Anurag Thakur

NEW DELHI, Dec 5: In a Tuesday jab at TMC chief Saugata Ray, Union Minister Anurag Thakur claimed that Jammu and Kashmir had changed significantly in the four years since Article 370 was repealed. Speaking during the Lok Sabha's discussion of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, Thakur stated that there had been no incidents of stone throwing and that the Indian tricolour is currently flown in every street in the Union Territory.However, Thakur recalled his own experience during the Tiranga Yatra, saying that earlier, when the National Conference (NC) was in power, BJP officials were imprisoned for attempting to hoist the national flag there. In response to the leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) stating that "ek nishan, ek pradhan, ek samvidhan" was a political catchphrase, he made this statement. The minister of communication and broadcasting claimed that the "Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra," which highlights the people-centered policies of the Narendra Modi government, is being prohibited from taking place in West Bengal by the TMC government. Not even seventy years after independence had Articles 370 and 35A in Jammu and Kashmir been abolished by the Modi government, he claimed.Maharaja Hari Singh, who signed the Instrument of Accession with India, made a significant contribution to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. Thakur criticised the opposition for omitting this fact. Does his input go unnoticed? Does Sardar Patel's contribution—who made sure the princely realms merged—not deserve recognition? Sardar Patel established the groundwork for a powerful India. The deficiencies that Jawaharlal Nehru left behind were addressed today in Parliament on August 5–6, 2019, according to Thakur.
