Srinagar, Nov 26: The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi, held a thorough security review meeting on Sunday at the District Police Office in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, as part of a proactive effort to improve and ensure the security landscape in the area. ASP Hqrs Sgr, SP PC Srinagar, DIG CKR Sujit Kumar, SSP Srinagar Ashish Kumar Mishra, all Zonal SPs, and all GOs of district Srinagar were among the notable attendees at the meeting. Many important subjects related to the district's security situation were discussed. IGP Kashmir emphasised the need for a thorough assessment of the district's present security risks and difficulties.He gave the officers instructions to make sure law enforcement is ready to react to any security incidents quickly and efficiently. NEW DELHI: On Sunday, the Chinese central government restated its close observation of the recent spike in respiratory illnesses among children in certain regions of the country. The Union Health Ministry stated that there was no reason for concern in its most recent update. There has been news of a significant increase in childhood respiratory illnesses in northern China in the past few weeks. In light of this, the Union Health Ministry has made the proactive decision to thoroughly examine the respiratory illness preparedness measures.As a precaution, states and UTs are advised to review hospital and public health preparedness measures right away. These include assessing the availability of personnel, hospital beds, influenza medications and vaccines, medical oxygen, antibiotics, personal protective equipment, testing kits, and other necessary medical supplies. They have also been requested to make sure that trends in severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) and influenza-like illnesses are properly tracked. According to data recently released by the WHO, respiratory illnesses are becoming more common in China's northern regions. Baramulla, Nov 26: According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, they have seized weapons, ammunition, and other incriminating materials from the possession of three terrorist associates connected to the banned terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba in the Baramulla district. Two suspected individuals travelling from Kamalkote towards NHW carrying bags were stopped on November 25 during joint Naka checking and patrolling with 13 SIKHLI, 185 BN BSF, and Baramulla Police at Kalgai near Jhula Foot Bridge. They were identified as Mohammad Naseem Khanday, son of Abdul Majeed Khanday and Zameer Ahmad Khanday, residents of Madiyan Kamalkote.Three Chinese grenades and Rs 2.5 lakh in cash were found from them during the search. In light of this, a formal complaint was filed at Police Station Uri in accordance with the applicable statutes. Under intense interrogation, the two accused admitted that Manzoor Ahmad Bhatti, the son of Karam Din Bhatti, a Madiyan Kamalkote resident, had given them the cash and illegally obtained grenades so they could carry out any terrorist act. Manzoor Ahmad Bhatti was therefore selected for interrogation. He revealed during interrogation that he had given these people cash and illegally obtained grenades to be used in terrorist attacks. He also revealed that he had kept cash and one hand grenade at a known location close to his home. As a result of his revelation, one Chinese hand grenade and Rs 2.17 lakh in cash were found. In the current case, he too was taken into custody. Additional research is currently underway. SRINAGAR, Nov 26: According to officials on Sunday, the minimum temperature in the majority of Kashmir's locations rose above freezing, offering some respite to the locals from the bitterly cold weather. Every weather station in the valley had a minimum temperature that was above freezing, with the exception of Pahalgam and Kupwara. The summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar, reportedly recorded a minimum temperature of zero degrees Celsius, up from minus one degree Celsius the night before, according to the officials.They claimed that a low of 0.5 degrees Celsius was recorded at the well-known ski resort of Gulmarg in north Kashmir. According to the officials, the minimum temperature in Qazigund, the town that serves as the entry point to the south Kashmir valley, was as low as minus 0.6 degrees Celsius, and the lowest temperature in Kokernag town was 1.5 degrees Celsius. At minus 1.8 degrees Celsius, the tourist destination of Pahalgam in the south Kashmir Anantnag district was the coldest place in the valley, down from minus 3.4 degrees the night before. In the north Kashmiri town of Kupwara, the minimum temperature dropped to minus 0.7 degrees Celsius.According to the Met Office, Sunday's weather is expected to be mostly dry and partly to generally cloudy. From Monday through November 30, there is a chance of light rain or snow in isolated to dispersed locations in the higher regions of Kashmir, according to the report.
