Govt terminates services of 2 doctors

JAMMU: Two doctors' services have been immediately terminated by the Jammu and Kashmir government. Due to the doctors' unauthorised absences from their assigned tasks, their employment was terminated. According to information, Dr. Asim Shameen Zaz, who was appointed as a medical officer, requested a leave of absence from work for 89 days in order to attend a wedding in Canada. However, after his leave had expired, the doctor did not return to his duties. In a separate order, the Jammu and Kashmir government today also terminated the employment of Dr. Kawaldeep Kour, a medical officer. She had requested a one-year study leave from her duties from the GMC in Baramulla, but she had failed to return to work after her leave had ended. The Government of Jammu and Kashmir's Secretary, Bhupinder Kumar, gave the orders to terminate their employment. 3-Day Mela Patt concludes in Bhaderwah

BHADERWAH: The three-day historic Mela Patt at Bhaderwah was successfully finished thanks to Lord Vasuki Nag Ji's heavenly blessings. The J&K Dharmarth Trust collaborated with Dashnans to plan the event, which received support from the neighbourhood, in accordance with the directives of the Hon'ble Chairman Trustee and Trustees. On September 18, 2023, the Rajpurohits of Bhaderwah led the big Jhaari Shobha Yatra, which marked the beginning of the Mela Patt. The celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of Air Force Station, Jammu and the 76th anniversary of J&K's entry into the Indian Union was staged jointly by the Indian Air Force and the J&K Government. According to BJP sources, the party has asked the South Delhi MP for a response about his use of improper language. Ali was the target of insults from Bidhuri during his speech in the Lok Sabha on Thursday. Later, Speaker Om Birla deleted those words.Rajnath Singh, a minister for the Union, expressed regret at Bidhuri's comments. Asian Games: India slams China for denying accreditation to sportspersons from Arunachal Pradesh

NEW DELHI: India has raised stern concerns with China over its refusal to grant select Indian athletes from Arunachal Pradesh accreditation for the Asian Games in Hangzhou, claiming that this action contradicts the spirit of the sporting event and the rules governing its conduct. Union I&B and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur postponed his planned trip to China for the Games as a sign of India's protest against China's discriminating attitude, according to a spokesperson for the External Affairs Ministry named Arindam Bagchi. India maintains the right to take "appropriate measures to safeguard our interests," according to Bagchi. Bagchi stated, "The government of India has learned that the Chinese authorities had discriminated against certain of the Indian athletes from the state of Arunachal Pradesh by denying them accreditation and access to the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, in a targeted and premeditated way. "In keeping with our long-standing and unwavering stance, India vehemently rejects treating Indian nationals differently based on their place of residence or ethnicity. Driver died, 6 injured in Qazigund accident

Qazigund, Sep 22 : An accident at the Levdora region of Qazigund along the Jammu-Srinagar route in the Kulgam district resulted in the death of the driver and the injuries of six family members. An official reported that a truck travelling close to the walnut factory in Qazigund collided with a vehicle with the registration number (JK06B 0901), which was travelling from Srinagar. All seven of the Echo vehicle's occupants suffered significant injuries as a result of the collision, and they were all quickly transported to the Emergency Hospital in Qazigund for treatment, he said. One of them, a driver named Maroof Ahmad Bhat, the son of Doda resident Niyaz Ahmad Bhat, passed away at the hospital, he said. He named the injured as Doda residents Mohammad Abdullah's son Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Mohammad Niyaz Bhat, Mumtaz Ahmad Bhat, Mubeena Begum, Niyaz Ahmad Bhat's wife, Mehvish Akhter, Maroof Mumtaz Bhat, and Absha Banoo, all of whom are also descendants of Ghulam Qadir Bhat.A complaint has been filed at the Qazigund Police Station under FIR number 206/23 under sections 279 and 337 of the IPC, and additional investigation has begun, according to an officer. Political parties in Kashmir welcome Mirwaiz release from house arrest

SRINAGAR: Following the repeal of Article 370 of the Constitution in 2019, political parties in Kashmir on Friday hailed the release of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the head of the Hurriyat Conference, from his more than four years of house detention.
