Rajouri/Jammu, Aug 2: Another OGW of terror outfits has been detained under the PSA in Rajouri district, police said on Wednesday.According to the draconian administrative rule, which permits detention without charge or trial for as long as two years in specific circumstances, Mohd Altaf is the fifth overground worker to be imprisoned in the border area over the course of the previous two months, a police official said.
After the police created a written dossier on Altaf, a native of Gadyog village in Khawas, the Rajouri district magistrate ordered his detention, the man claimed.The preventative detention of five notorious overground employees over the previous two months, according to Senior Superintendent of Police (Rajouri) Amritpal Singh, was done to stop their illegal acts of working for terrorist organisations.
In a different incident, a possible criminal was detained and lodged in Jammu under the Public Safety Act.
According to the police, Tajinder Singh alias Jinda, a resident of the Simbal camp in RS Pura, was sought after in numerous cases brought under the Indian Penal Code, the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and the Arms Act.According to the police, he was detained under the Public Safety Act after being arrested based on specific information from Miran Sahib and transferred to Central Jail Jammu, Kotbhalwal.
