KUPWARA, Oct 06 : Over 9,000 landless individuals have already received land in the area, according to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, and only those who qualify will receive 5 Marla land from the government. Speaking to reporters outside of a gathering at Dak Bunglow, the LG claimed that a new era of growth was beginning since the administration had been successful in bringing openness and adapting to a pro-people stance. According to him, more than 9,000 landless individuals in Jammu and Kashmir have received land grants, and only those who qualify would receive 5 Marla parcels of land in J&K.The LG further stated that the budget for a technical survey has already been approved by the railway minister while he was on a two-day visit to the Kupwara district. Kupwara will soon be connected to the rail link once the survey is done and the DPR is submitted. According to him, Kupwara is on the road to wealth and progress, and in the last three years, the security situation has also improved. “In this place, the common guy has a peaceful life. The agricultural and related industries have significantly improved in this district. Growth and output have both risen, according to LG.He said that considerable advancements had also been made in infrastructure development. Roads have been constructed. Road connections have been made to remote places. The transmission and distribution of power supplies have also received a lot of attention. He claimed that the tourism industry is flourishing in Kupwara and that much work is being done to ensure its further expansion.“Much more tourists have come here already than in prior years.
