Security is a challenge every year because it cannot be ruled out that anti-national elements will try to thwart the smooth running of the yatra, but an official insisted that our security forces are strong enough to manage any circumstance.

He said that this year, in addition to providing security, more than 60,000 troops are being sent from Lakhanpur to the Amarnath Cave Shrine to ensure the smooth operation of the yatra.
They stated that the deployment would begin on June 20 along the highway and twin Baltal and Pahalgam pathways leading to the cave. “Additional companies of the CRPF are expected to arrive by this week,” they added.
“Sniper and sharp shooter deployment will also be deployed at many locations, in addition to routine deployment, while the Amarnath Yatra convoy will be escorted by security personnel laced with technical gadgets,” they said.

Security is still a challenge, but we are ready to welcome the pilgrims, and they can come for the yatra fearlessly to pay respects at the cave shrine, according to an official. “Security continues to be a difficulty because sticky bomb explosions, the smuggling of weapons using drones, and other instances were reported last year, the official added.
He said, “Security has been stepped up and strengthened not only in the hinterland, but also along the Line of Control and the International Border to thwart any mischief perpetrated from across the border.
Five ‘Tatkal’ (urgent) registration counters have been set up by the administration in major areas of Jammu city in the interim.
A spokesman stated that “Five counters have been set up for Tatkal registration of pilgrims at Vaishnavi Dham, Mahajan Sabha, Panchayat Ghar, and two at Geeta Bhawan and Ram Mandir for the registration of Sadhus.”
This week marks the start of the yatra’s online helicopter ticket sales.
More than four lakh pilgrims are anticipated to travel this year, with booking for the Baltal, Pahalgam, and Srinagar routes starting this week.
For the purpose of promoting tourism and drawing more visitors to Jammu & Kashmir, the administration has also arranged “Jammu Darshan” for the pilgrims.
According to reports, 3 lakh or so pilgrims have registered online for the yatra thus far.
