POONCH : On Saturday’s first day, 1,338 pilgrims made their obeisance in Budha Amarnath. Today, the first group of pilgrims arrived in Mandi, where they were received and welcomed by members of many religions, elected officials, and prominent political and social figures. According to reports, 1338 people from various states and union territories, including Gujrat, Madhya Pradesh, Asam, and Bhopal, made their obeisance on the first day. The series of outsider devotees will continue for the next 10 days during which thousands of people will arrive here for appearance, while the majority of local devotees have already been visiting the temple for several days.It is pertinent to note that Mendhar, Surankote, and Poonch received and welcomed the first group of pilgrims. Senior officers and members of the management committee said that the District Administration Poonch and the temple management had put every arrangement, including security, in place for the pilgrims, which was periodically inspected by the relevant authorities. Following the Yatra’s continual arrival for the following 10 days, Chadi Mubarak celebrations will be held between Akhada Mandir in Poonch and Budha Amarnath Temple in Mandi, they continued.
