JAMMU: In Devi Angan Thalwal, Jammu, on the auspicious festival of Maha Navami, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha conducted Puja at the Goddess Bhaderkali’s under-construction temple. The Lieutenant Governor greeted the Maha Navami with greetings and promised the Mata Bhaderkali Asthapan Trust (MBAT) of the full assistance of the J&K Administration to ensure the timely completion of the ongoing construction of the temple, which will be a replica of the historic temple located in Handwara. In order to honour the martyrs of the Kashmiri Pandit Community, the Army, the Police, and the Central Armed Police Forces, he also acknowledged the efforts made by the Mata Bhaderkali Asthapan Trust in constructing the necessary facilities for pilgrims, such as the socio-cultural centre and Shaheed Sthal.During his speech, the Lieutenant Governor emphasised the nation’s cultural revival spearheaded by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and the preservation of significant historical and religious locations with an overarching goal of promoting societal well-being. According to him, the J&K Administration is working nonstop to establish the conditions necessary for the Kashmiri Pandit community to live permanently in the valley. The Lieutenant Governor recalled his previous conversation with a delegation of Kashmiri Pandits and stated that the government would make the required arrangements to give government employees in Srinagar land at a reduced cost so they can construct their own homes. According to the Lieutenant Governor, the LG Secretariat has designated a nodal official to handle all of the problems and grievances of the Kashmiri Pandit Community.According to him, community members can bring up concerns with the Divisional Commissioner, ADGP, IGP, and relevant Deputy Commissioner, and their case would be given top attention. The Lieutenant Governor gave Commissioner of Relief and Rehabilitation KK Sidha instructions to regularly distribute finished homes in the Kashmir Valley and to produce a report outlining the gaps and needs in infrastructure and other amenities. The Lieutenant Governor also outlined many measures implemented by the government to promote communal well-being. He stated that our police and security services are working around the clock to guarantee a safe and secure environment for the people, despite the neighbouring country’s and terror groups’ determined attempts to disturb the calm. Senior officials from the Civil and Police Administration, members of the Mata Bhaderkali Asthapan Trust, Ajay Bharti, a former legislator, Anand Jain, the Jammu IGP, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, the Jammu Deputy Commissioner, and other notable individuals were in attendance.
