Hyderabad, Oct 27: According to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, the Parliament will shortly pass the three new bills that would replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), and the Indian Evidence Act. Speaking during the IPS cadets’ Passing Out procession at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in this city, Shah declared that India is eschewing the laws enacted during British rule and ushering in a new era filled with optimism and confidence. He stated that the three new laws are being examined by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs and will shortly be passed.He stated that the goal of the new laws is to uphold the rights of the people. Shah noted that the number of female IPS cadets is rising and that the nation is moving towards women-led growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction.
