Over the past week, Jammu has experienced nearly 3,000 cases of eye flu. The outpatient department (OPD) receives at least 200 to 250 patients every day with symptoms of ocular flu. According to Prof. Ashok Sharma, head of the ophthalmology department at the Government Medical College (GMC) in Jammu, 70 to 80 percent of these cases are definitely conjunctivitis instances.
