JAMMU, Nov 30: Due to further snowfall on Thursday, the Mughal Road—which links the twin districts of Rajouri and Poonch with the Shopian district in Kashmir Valley—was closed, according to officials. They said that there had been recent snowfall at a number of locations along the route, including “Pir Ki Gali,” which had caused the road to close. The closure of the road was confirmed by DySP PC Surankote Hamid Ali Bandey. The route, which is thought of as a substitute for the Jammu-Srinagar Highway, was blocked multiple times earlier this year because of snowfall, especially in “Pir KiGali” and the surrounding districts.
