SRINAGAR: Amid scorching heat across Jammu and Kashmir, the Meteorological Department on Friday predicted brief spell of rains and thundershowers at scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir till July 20. A MeT official said there is a possibility of generally cloudy weather with intermittent spells of light to moderate rain and thundershower at many places with heavy rain at isolated areas of Jammu division on July 12. He said a brief spell of rain and thundershower at scattered places likely to take place from July 13 to 15. From July 16 to 17 it predicted brief spell of rain and thundershower at isolated places, while as from July 18 to 20 brief spell of rain and thundershower at scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir have been forecasted. The official added that flash floods, landslides, mudslides and shooting stones at few vulnerable places of Jammu division may occur on July 12.
