Maroof Khan Urges Administration to Deploy Additional Teams of SDRF & Marcos in Habbakadal to Recover Body of Drowned 8-Year-Old Boy

Srinagar; 03 July : Political activist Maroof Khan has called on the divisional and district administration to intensify rescue efforts for an eight-year-old boy who tragically drowned in the Jhelum River at Habbakadal. Despite the best efforts of government and private agencies, the boy’s body has not yet been recovered.

Maroof Khan, deeply grieved by the incident, has urged the administration to deploy the Marine Commandos (MARCOS) to assist in the search, fulfilling the family’s plea for specialized intervention. Additionally, Khan has advocated for the deployment of more rescue teams and the continuation of search operations into the night.

“The loss of a young life is devastating, and it is crucial that we utilize every available resource to bring closure to the grieving family,” said Maroof Khan. “I strongly urge the administration to bring in MARCOS, add additional rescue teams, and ensure that search operations continue around the clock.”

The community remains hopeful that with these enhanced efforts, the boy’s body will be recovered soon, providing some solace to his family during this difficult time.
