JAMMU, Nov 8: In the Kathua area of Jammu and Kashmir, a 40-year-old man was hurt when his gun, which was built in his own country, “accidentally” went off, a police officer said on Wednesday. He stated that during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday, the guy known as Gori Shanker was shot inside his home in Sitti-Bani village by a bullet fired from his own licenced gun. According to the source, on Wednesday morning, Shanker, who had a chest injury, was brought to a hospital and then sent to the Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital in Jammu for specialised care. He said that the event is now being looked into by the police.
