JAMMU, Aug 11: An individual impersonating as a Regional Transport Officer (RTO) has been arrested from Miran Sahib Area.
Officials said Ashiq Lone of Khwaja Bagh, Baramulla, Srinagar, was wanted for cheating several individuals by issuing them fake RCs, driving licenses, and other RTO office related documents by impersonating as an RTO.He had even established an office in Miran Sahib Area, from where he would issue such documents to the police, they said.
Several police teams were after him, officials said.
Acting on specific information, he was arrested red-handed by a team of police station Miran Sahib today and booked under the relevant sections of the law, they said.
