JAMMU: During the “LG’s Mulaqaat” Live Public Grievance Hearing at the Civil Secretariat, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha engaged with the public virtually. The Lieutenant Governor acknowledged receipt of the citizen complaints on JK-IGRAMS and ordered the prompt settlement of the concerns along with the required actions to improve implementation. According to him, the quicker programme execution is significantly boosting J&K, UT’s economy and is crucial in upholding accountability and transparency norms for an efficient public delivery system. “The rapid development and performance of various sectors show the limitless potential of Union Territory and we are determined to transform this potential into reality to change the destiny of J&K in Amrit Kaal,” stated the Lieutenant Governor.In response to Attina, Budgam resident Sh Pralad Singh’s complaint about a road’s poor state, the Lieutenant Governor instructed the Deputy Commissioner Budgam to take the necessary action to resolve the matter as soon as possible. The Additional Chief Secretary of the Jal Shakti Department informed the Lieutenant Governor that the work on the aforementioned water supply project, which is a reservoir in the Chanderseer Tilgam to Wanigam Payeen area, will be finished by the end of December of this year, in response to the grievance regarding its completion. The blocked drain at Goal Mela, next to Jaganath Temple, was brought to the attention of the authorities by a complainant named Vidyut Vats, who lives on Dhar Road in Udhampur.The Deputy Commissioner Udhampur was instructed by the Lieutenant Governor to make sure the drain was cleared in ten days. The Lieutenant Governor also addressed Sh Payar Singh’s complaint against the BPL Ration Card that was issued in his favour, from Ganote Chakka Bhartund, District Ramban. At the LG’s Mulaqaat, Ms. Rehana Batul, Secretary, Public Grievances, presided. Both in person and virtually in attendance were Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary; Sh. R.K. Goyal, Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department; Sh. R.R. Swain, DGP; Administrative Secretaries; Divisional Commissioners, Deputy Commissioners, SSPs, HoDs, and other senior authorities.
