SRINAGAR: Today, Jagadguru Sri Ramanujacharya Saraswathi Bhandaram Digital Library and Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt Branch, Kashmir were officially opened in Shivpora, Srinagar, by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The Lt Governor congratulated Jagadguru Sri Ramanujacharya ji’s devotees and the Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt on the occasion in his speech. The Lt Governor reported that Union Home Minister Amit Shah ji had sent his best wishes and promised to personally visit Mutt’s Kashmir branch. The Lt. Governor recalled Jagadguru Sri Ramanujacharya’s enormous contributions to society. “Sri Ramanujacharya advocated love, peace, compassion, universal brotherhood, and social equality through his vishishtadvaita philosophy. The Lt. Governor added, “He demonstrated to society the way of virtue, righteousness, and devotionalism that encouraged the ‘Bhakti Movement’.The Lt Governor also emphasised Kashmir’s strong spiritual ties to Sri Ramanujacharya ji. Jagadguru had flown to Kashmir to consult the Bodhayana Vritti Grantha on the Brahma Sutras while writing the epic “Sri Bhasya.” The Lt. Governor noted that after finishing this extensive and well-known work, he returned to Kashmir and dedicated Sri Bhasya to Maa Sharada. The Lt. Governor agreed with the UT Government’s determination to restore Jammu and Kashmir to its former splendour, which is led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. According to the Lt. Governor, “We are witnessing a revival of J&K’s cultural identity and spiritual traditions, which have always encouraged coexistence of virtually all major religions and spiritual streams known to humankind and provided the world with the ideals of humanism, communal harmony, and peace.” He claimed that the Kashmir Branch of the Mutt and the trove of timeless knowledge made accessible through the digital library will motivate us to create a society that is peaceful and harmonious. The Lt. Governor applauded the admirable effort to offer medical care at the Kashmir Branch of the Mutt. On behalf of the Mutt, H.H. Sri Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Narayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swami Ji of the Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt thanked the Lt Governor and the UT Administration for their cooperation. The message of unity, peace, equality, and devotion to the world was proclaimed by Jagadguru Sri Ramanujacharya, who also motivated us to give back to society. We have already digitised 2000 volumes, and Swami Ji’s ideas and teachings should be accessible to everyone, he said. The Sri Ramanuja Clinic will be managed by Ujala Cygnus Hospital, which will also provide free medical care. The patients would also receive online services from Bangalore experts. Senior military, civil, and police officers as well as devotees of Jagadguru Sri Ramanujacharya and members of the Sri Yadugiri Yathiraja Mutt were present.
