BARAMULLA: Police reported on Wednesday that security forces have captured a terrorist connected to the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) organisation in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla area. “Police along with security forces arrested a terrorist associate linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT/TRF and recovered incriminating materials, arms and ammunition from his possession in Baramulla,” according to a police spokesperson. According to the spokesperson, the arrest was conducted at the checkpoint Ushkara in Baramulla, which security personnel set up on Tuesday after receiving information about potential terrorist activity nearby. “A suspicious movement of one individual approaching the naka point on foot was seen during naka checking. The culprit attempted to flee the scene when he saw police officers and security personnel, but he was cleverly captured by the alert naka party, the man stated.A inhabitant of Ushkara named Mudasir Ahmad Bhat was the person in question. He was found to have two hand grenades and Rs 40,000 in cash, according to the police. In Baramulla, the matter has been scheduled.
