KUPWARA: During his two-day visit to Kupwara, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha noted the district’s tremendous growth over the last three years. “Kupwara district has grown during the past three years, and residents are taking advantage of government initiatives. Sinha told reporters on Friday, “If I talk about law enforcement, I can say that the average person is living happily. Manoj Sinha stated, “There has been significant development in the agriculture and allied sector,” when discussing development in the agricultural sector. It is now a surplus district for agricultural goods or milk production. Production of walnuts has also been strong.”As per the holistic agricultural plan, we will make sure that high density plantation takes place and the 70 per cent of the population who are dependent on agriculture live happily,” he stated. The Lieutenant Governor stated, “Eight remaining villages as per the 2011 Census will be linked with roads on priority,” when discussing the development of infrastructure in the district. Both the distribution and transmission sector and tourism have seen tremendous progress. The LG noted the beginning of the medical college while highlighting other construction projects in Kupwara. Here, construction on the roads, the power grid, and the connection to the water pipes is moving quickly.When discussing the Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Mission, Sinha stated that it would be finished by December 31. The job has already been done at a 70% level.
