SRINAGAR: Officials said on Friday that Three Army jawans, who were injured during an encounter with terrorists in Kulgam district, succumbed to their injuries.The three hurt jawans died as a result of their wounds. Search efforts are still underway, according to a statement from the Army. The Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Friday that the jawans were receiving medical attention at a hospital. Officials said earlier in the day that the encounter occurred in the upper reaches of the Halan forest area in the Kulgam district. “The operation is being carried out by the Army and Kulgam Police. An official earlier reported that three jawans were hurt and taken to a hospital for treatment. The Army and Kulgam Police were on the scene, the Kashmir Zone Police said earlier on Friday.
