Shimla, Mar 10: Senior BJP leader Kavinder Gupta was sworn in as the 30th Governor of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday morning at a ceremony held at Raj Bhavan in Shimla.
Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court, Gurmeet Singh Sandhawalia, administered the oath of office to Kavinder Gupta, who took the oath in Hindi.
Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta read out the President’s warrant of appointment, issued by the President of India, during the ceremony.
Several senior officials and dignitaries were present on the occasion as Gupta formally assumed charge as the constitutional head of the state.
