SRINAGAR: Kashmir minimum temperature remained below freezing, with Konibal recording the lowest temperature at minus 6.0 degrees Celsius. The capital of Jammu and Kashmir during the summer, Srinagar, recorded a low of minus 4.4 degrees Celsius. The lowest temperature ever recorded was minus 3.0 degrees Celsius in Qazigund, South Kashmir, and minus 3.4 degrees Celsius in Kupwara. The mercury dropped to minus 5.5 degrees Celsius in Pahalgam and minus 4.2 degrees Celsius in Gulmarg.
