JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha declared on Tuesday that just 20–25 terrorists are insufficient to frighten people in the Union Territory, days after terrorists ambushed two Army trucks in Poonch, killing four soldiers. During a Veer Bal Diwas event in Jammu, the LG stated that efforts are underway to disrupt the tranquilly in Jammu and Kashmir. “The people of Jammu and Kashmir are not afraid of terrorists.” In order to stop these individuals, society must unite. The country is determined to bring about development and peace in Jammu and Kashmir.It’s time to unite against these anarchists at this point. The people of J&K are not scared by 20–25 terrorists, he claimed.He went on to say that the entire ecosystem that supports terrorism must be destroyed. Additionally, Sinha stated that under PM Modi’s direction, the UT is progressing. The terrorist attack on two Army vehicles in Poonch on December 21, which claimed the lives of four soldiers, prompted the LG’s statement. On the occasion of Veer Baal Diwas, LG Sinha also showed his respect for the Sahibzades, the four sons of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. They are the “epitome of courage, bravery, and sacrifice,” he wrote in an earlier post on X, emphasising their unwavering commitment to their faith and values.“My modest tributes to the Sahibzades, the embodiment of bravery, sacrifice, and courage on this Veer Baal Diwas.” We are all inspired to preserve the nation’s unity and integrity by the unshakable strength of Mata Gujri ji and Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj,” he remarked. On Sri Guru Gobind Singh’s Prakash Purab last year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared December 26 to be “Veer Bal Diwas.” The day honours the sacrifices made by Guru Gobind Singh’s four sons, known as “Sahibzade”.
