SRINAGAR, Oct 11: Jammu and Kashmir police and Punjab police detained one drug smuggler from Mullanpur, Dakha, and recovered Rs 4.94 crore as well as 38 phoney car number plates, dealing a serious blow to the inter-State drug network. The apprehended individual is one of the main suspects in the recent 30 kg heroin recovery made in Jammu, according to DGP Punjab’s post on X. Investigations to identify backward and forward linkages are still continuing. The revolver was also found on the arrested suspect, according to the police. On October 1, two drug traffickers were detained in the Ramban area of Jammu and Kashmir with 30 kilos of heroin worth crores of rupees. On the national route between Srinagar and Jammu, the recovery was made from a car heading towards Punjab.
