BARAMULLA: Officials said on Tuesday, Jammu and Kashmir Police in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district have handed over an old sculpture of Goddess Lakshmi to the department of Archaeology.”A few days ago, residents of the village of Sheeri told Police Component Baramulla that they had discovered a sculpture while excavating the ground. A police detachment from Police Component Baramulla hurried to the location as soon as they received this information and took possession of the sculpture, according to the police.After being contacted to examine the discovered sculpture, the team from Archives, Archaeology, and Museums showed up at the district police headquarters in Baramulla and determined that the sculpture is of Goddess Lakshmi. As a result, the sculpture was given to Kashmir’s Department of Archives, Archaeology, and Museums’ Registering Officer for Antiquities.
