UDHAMPUR: Senior BJP politician Devender Singh Rana described today the general framework of Jammu and Kashmir’s political and developmental transition following the August 5, 2019, repeal of Article 370, stating that the Union Territory has actively participated in the nation’s economic progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to NGOs and Self Help Groups during the Shakti Vandana National workshop at the party headquarters in Udhampur, Devender Singh Rana stated that the goal of the BJP-led government at the Centre over the past ten years, and nearly five years in particular, has been to remove Jammu and Kashmir from a precarious security situation and to ensure equitable development.“Peace is paving the way for holistic development and the people getting opportunities to prosper and progress,” stated Rana. She also mentioned that deliberate attempts are being made to address issues pertaining to women, youth, farmers, and marginalised and weaker groups. According to him, the BJP is dedicated to eliminating possibilities for everyone to prosper and closing the developmental gap between regions and sub-regions. Devender Rana mentioned the revolutionary steps that have been made recently to transform the Union Territory, which has regrettably been neglected and deprived of resources by previous governments.He claimed that for the first time, the people in this region of the nation felt at the focus of numerous initiatives meant to improve their lot in life. He said that the people are now reaping the benefits of peace, saying that the restoration of peace has made way for previously unheard-of initiatives on the fronts of development and the economy, the effects of which are incredibly evident. Speaking to the assembly, senior BJP leader and former minister Pawan Gupta went into great detail about other ground-breaking programmes that have transformed people’s lives, such as Ayushman Bharat, One Nation-One Ration Card, StartUp, Digital Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Jan Dhan Yojana, Izzat Ghar programme, and many more.According to him, every BJP Karykarta is driven to fulfil his dream of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Pryas, and Sabka Vishwas because of the Prime Minister’s dedication to public welfare. Speaking at the event, BJP District President Arun Gupta described the party as a mass movement that supports the empowerment of the people and that its ability to fight for the just cause of the people and stand firm in resolving issues facing them is largely due to the support it receives from all facets of society. According to Arun Gupta, the BJP has become a formidable force as a result of persistent efforts.Vipin Sharma, Sangathan Mantri spoke on the occasion and went into great detail on the numerous welfare programmes for the advancement of the underprivileged and oppressed.
