JAMMU, Feb 1: The interim union budget for 2024–2025—which was presented in the Lok Sabha on Thursday by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman—allocates Rs 37,277.74 crore to Jammu & Kashmir. Details show that J&K has been given a budget of Rs 37277.74 crores for the upcoming fiscal year. Of this, just Rs 35,619.30 crore have been set aside for the Union Territory’s resource deficiency. Prior to the Lok Sabha elections that are set for April-May of this year, this was the last budget of the PM Modi-led administration.
