27-OCT : Jio, one of India’s top internet providers, has done something incredible. They’ve brought super-fast internet to the farthest parts of India using satellites. This means people in places that couldn’t get good internet before can now have it.
Jio’s new satellite internet service is called JioSpaceFiber. They showed it off at the India Mobile Congress. And the best part is, it’s not too expensive.
Jio already gives fast internet to over 450 million people in India. Now, with JioSpaceFiber, they’re making sure that everyone can have quick and reliable internet, no matter where they live. It’s not just for homes, but for businesses too. Plus, it’s going to make Jio’s 5G service even better in remote areas.
To do this, Jio is working with a company called SES. SES has special satellites in space that can send internet super fast. Jio is the only company in India that gets to use these amazing satellites. They promise that the internet will be really good and not go out, which is a big deal.
To show how powerful this is, Jio already connected four very remote places in India with JioSpaceFiber:
Gir in Gujarat
Korba in Chhattisgarh
Nabarangpur in Odisha
ONGC-Jorhat in Assam
