JAMMU, Feb 7: The vital Jammu-Srinagar national highway saw traffic return on Wednesday after being blocked for renovation. According to representatives of the traffic department, the highway opened this morning. According to officials, heavy motor vehicle (HMV) traffic would be restricted, but light motor vehicle (LMV) movement from Srinagar and Jammu will be permitted on the highway. The highway was damaged earlier this week in several locations due to shooting stones and landslides, with the Sherbibi stretch in the Ramban area suffering the worst damage.
