JAMMU: “Bad weather” forced BJP president J P Nadda to postpone his Sunday visit to Jammu, disappointing hundreds of eager party workers. The last-minute postponement of Nadda’s tour of Jammu was confirmed by J&K BJP president Ravinder Raina, as his aircraft was unable to land at the Jammu airport because of low visibility. After making his respects at the revered old Raghunath temple here, Nadda was expected to arrive in Jammu for a day-long visit to chair an extended core group meeting of the BJP to debate and finalise the party’s strategy for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.”The BJP president’s scheduled visit to Jammu had to be cancelled due to poor visibility at the airport. But he will soon be conducting the senior leaders’ meeting virtually, Raina, who was there at the airport, said. In order to let the waiting staff members know that Nadda’s visit had been cancelled, Raina also made a visit to the Raghunath temple.
