SRINAGAR: Leader of the DPAP Ghulam Nabi Azad stated on Sunday that since all regional and national parties have had an opportunity to govern the territory, it will be simpler for the people of Jammu and Kashmir to choose a government that will serve their interests. All political parties, both national and regional, have had the opportunity to lead Jammu & Kashmir. Azad, a former chief minister of the former state of Jammu and Kashmir, told reporters that this made it simpler for the people to choose a government that would serve their interests. Regarding accusations made against the Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) that it is a “B Team” of the BJP, Azad stated that some of his critics have previously been affiliated with the saffron party.“Those who refer to us as the BJP’s ‘B Team’ were present; they belonged to the ‘A Teams’ of the party. According to Azad, one politician even started out in politics as a minister in a BJP government. He said, referring to previous coalitions between the BJP and the National Conference and the People’s Democratic Party, “I was neither in the BJP as a minister or a chief minister, nor was I helped by the BJP.” It is difficult to predict whether the Modi wave will have any effect on Jammu and Kashmir, the former leader of the Congress party added. “Jammu and Kashmir is not like the other Indian states.Because of its diverse culture, it is hard to predict whose influence would be felt in Jammu and Kashmir “added the speaker.
