New Delhi, Feb 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared on Thursday that as the nation progresses, growth and legacy would march hand in hand because India’s motto of unity in diversity is so all-encompassing that there is no room for division in it. Speaking during a celebration of Srila Prabhupada’s 150th birthday at the Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, Modi announced that the Vande Bharat train will now operate throughout India in tandem with the development of Ayodhya and Mathura-Vrindavan.He lavished the spiritual master with praise and pointed out that the celebration of his 150th birthday coincided with the realisation of a centuries-old dream—that of a magnificent Ram temple in Ayodhya—just a few days prior. Speaking of the Ayodhya Ram temple and its consecration ceremony on January 22, Modi stated that only the saints’ blessings could bring such a massive “mahayagya” to a successful conclusion. “We are commemorating Srila Prabhupada’s 150th birthday at a time when the centuries-old desire of a magnificent Ram temple was realised only a few days ago. The prime minister remarked, “Your excitement is a reflection of your happiness for the Ram Lalla ‘virajman.'”The prime minister declared, “India’s motto of unity in diversity is so basic and all-encompassing that there is no room for division in it.” He believed that the embodiment of devotion for Lord Krishna was the saint Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who lived in the 15th century. “He opened up spirituality and spiritual practices to the general public,” Modi stated. Additionally, the prime minister will unveil a coin and commemorative stamp in the guru’s honour. The Gaudiya Mission, founded by Prabhupada, was instrumental in maintaining and disseminating the core beliefs of the Vaishnava religion. As the hub of the Hare Krishna movement, the Gaudiya Mission has been instrumental in spreading the teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and the rich spiritual legacy of Vaishnavism throughout the world.
