Indian Army rescues 16-year old girl, provide medical assistance

SRINAGAR : Officials stated on Saturday that a 16-year-old girl was rescued by the Indian Army on Friday after she hurt herself with an axe in a village near Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, and received medical attention. While operating close to Gen Area, the girl was identified as Manisha, a Churunda village inhabitant. The Army reported that Seb Neck accidently hit her left foot, causing severe bleeding and a high risk of infection.According to officials, the Army got a report at about 2:30 PM. Quickly responding, troops from the Mike Battalion arrived at the area, which is close to the Line of Control (Loc), and administered first aid to the injured. Manisha was transferred to the MI Room of the Battalion where the patient’s initial care was administered. According to the official statement, the unit RMO stabilised the patient and sutured the cut to stop additional blood loss. After receiving care, a truck returned her to the closest roadhead, from which point the troops brought her safely home. According to officials, the locals were grateful for the Indian Army’s quick response and help and thanked the soldiers for saving the child from a hostile environment.
