New Delhi, Jun 5 : The number of coronavirus cases in India increased by 174, bringing the total to 4.49 crore, while the number of active cases dropped to 3,193, according to the Union Health Ministry on Monday.
Two more deaths brought the total to 5,31,882; one of those was reconciled by Kerala, according to figures updated by the government at 8 am.Of all infections, there are currently 0.01 percent of active cases.
The website of the health ministry reports that the national COVID-19 recovery rate was 98.81%.
There are now 4,44,56,681 persons who have recovered from the illness. 1.18 percent of cases ended fatally.There have been 4.49 crore (4,49,91,756) Covid cases reported in India to date.
The website said that the country has already received 220.66 crore doses of the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the widespread immunisation campaign.
