NAGPUR: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) president Mohan Bhagwat has stated that Hinduism respects all religions and that India has never experienced disputes over matters like the one that has resulted in the current Hamas-Israel war. Speaking on Saturday, he was part of a programme commemorating 350 years since Maratha monarch Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was crowned at a local school. There is a religion and a culture in this nation that honour all denominations and beliefs. The Hindu faith is that one. This nation is home to Hindus. That does not imply that we disapprove of other faiths. It is not necessary to mention that Muslims were also protected once you mention the word Hindu. It is a Hindu custom. It is only done in India. No one else has done this,” Bhagwat remarked.“There are conflicts going on everywhere else. You must be aware of the Hamas-Israel conflict raging in Ukraine. There have never been conflicts over these matters in our nation. That was the nature of the invasion under the reign of Shivaji Maharaj. However, we have never engaged in conflict with anyone over this matter. The RSS chairman informed the audience, “That is why we are Hindus.”
