Birdi comments on PM Modi’s travel to J&K, saying, “J&K police have prepared for the multi-tier security in accordance with Standard Operation Procedure, and VIP movements take place throughout the elections. We’ll continue to publish advisories on traffic as well. There is a high level of attentiveness about security and vigilance… We have our plans in place to thwart any attempts to disturb the calm.”
