NEW DELHI: Under the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047′ initiative, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that the goal of making India a developed nation by 2047 is to concentrate on GYAN, which he defined as Garib (poor), Yuva (youth), Annadata (farmers), and Narishakti (women empowerment). During the launch of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp yatra, which aims to raise awareness about government welfare schemes across different states, the Prime Minister reaffirmed his commitment to transforming India into a developed nation by the country’s centenary. Prime Minister Modi drew a comparison between the freedom movement’s 1922–1947 era and the subsequent 25 years, pointing out the general public’s eagerness to contribute to the advancement of the country.“Everyone wanted to contribute towards the freedom movement from 1922 to the period up to 1947,” Prime Minister Modi stated in an interview with India Today. By the time we commemorate India’s 100 years of independence, I see a similar sense of optimism among the populace that the nation will have advanced. This energy serves as my motivation.” “Gyan ko sammaan denge, hum GYAN pe dhyaan denge, to Viksit Bharat banega.” The PM stated, “GYAN stands for G for Garib, Y for Yuva, A for Annadata, and N for Narishakti. “Everything I have done, as a Karyakarta, as a CM, and as PM, I have always put the nation first,” Prime Minister Modi said, restating his nation-first philosophy. For me it does not seem difficult because I take all my decisions with the single prism of Nation First.” He also talked about the mantra behind his approach to policymaking and said “Main kuch bhi acha lage isliye nahi karta, Lekin acha ho isliye karta hu”. Further, talking about his management and dealing with tasks associated with challenging sectors, the PM said, “Makhan par lakir to sab karte hai. To pathar par lakir karo karni hai. Shuruat to kare, Kathin hai to kya hua. (Drawing a line in butter is simple. If necessary, etch a line in stone. It’s challenging, but let’s get started. Additionally, he discussed how India has evolved from a nation that used to look for a voice on many platforms to one that now establishes new international platforms, stating that there is widespread agreement around the globe that this is India’s time. According to PM Modi, India’s contributions and presence are now valued in international fora. “After our country’s latent potential was unlocked, India’s contributions and presence in international forums are now highly valued. This is India’s moment, as the entire world clearly agrees,” the PM stated.
