PAHALGAM: Farooq Abdullah on Thursday gave his wishes to the Amarnath yatris to come here and carry the message of love back. After examining the plans for this year’s Amarnath yatra at the south Kashmir resort town, 100 km from Srinagar, Abdullah, the idea that this country belongs to everyone—Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, and Buddhists—should be conveyed to the media. He also urged the media to take a message of love from Kashmir back to their home countries. We are all on an equal footing; there are no differences between us. Our Constitution has established that,” he remarked. Hasnain Masoodi, an MP from south Kashmir, accompanied Abdullah, a Lok Sabha representative from Srinagar. The leader claimed that since the start of the yatra, Muslims have been taking care of the Amarnath pilgrims. “Who looks after the yatris around here? It’s the Muslims in the area. This has been taking place for years. No hatred exists, he said. The NC president expressed his gratitude to the government for providing the pilgrims with well-thought-out preparations. “The setups are excellent. This area has an excellent little hospital. The absence of nursing staff is the sole negative aspect. We can hire trained nurses on a temporary basis for two months rather than procuring them from the local hospital, “so that they will have job and the yatris would also receive care. We will undoubtedly write to the government about this, he continued.
