JAMMU: A phoney directive circulating on WhatsApp and other social media platforms regarding winter break in Government Degree Colleges of Jammu and Kashmir divisions has been verified by the Higher Education Department. The department has confirmed that it has not issued the fictitious order bearing government order number 271-JK(HE) of 2023, dated 12-12-2023, regarding winter vacation in J&K’s GDCs. This information has been circulated through social media groups and WhatsApp in addition to print and electronic media. This information was received in a communication received in this regard.
