10k Participants join largest Rally to mark the 78th Independence Day Celebration
SHOPIAN, AUGUST 14: More than 10000 participants converged today at Sports Stadium Shirmal Shopian to participate in the District’s biggest Tiranga Rally, organised by District Administration Shopian to mark the celebrations of 78th Independence Day.
The participants including in its ranks, students, civil, police and paramilitary officers and officials, activists, civil society members, youth icons, teachers, general public and others exhibited tremendous spirit for the honour of the National Flag.
The overwhelming public participation and response, people carrying Flags marched towards the Aglar Fruit Mandi where the Rally ended.
The Grand Rally was a testament to the fervour and sentiment attached to the national flag. The rally was part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign’ in the lead-up to the 78th Independence Day celebrations.
The Rally was led by District Magistrate Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb and SSP Shopian, Tanushree and participated by ADDC, ADC and other district officers.
The inaugural session began with the Signature Campaign, inaugurated by the District Magistrate followed by a soulful rendition of the National Anthem, which resonated throughout the venue, filling everyone with pride and unity.
Participants also took a solemn pledge to uphold the values of the Constitution and continue working towards the betterment of the nation.
Adding to the fervor, the Anthem and Patriotic Songs filled the air, further igniting a sense of patriotism among the attendees.
The Tiranga Bike Rally was also part of the Rally. The Rally aimed to inspire patriotism and promote awareness about the National Flag of India. It not only celebrated the nation’s identity but also served as a reminder of the collective strength and harmony that binds the country together.
