AHMEDABAD : The (ATS) Anti-Terrorist Squad of Gujarat Police busted an Islamic State (IS) module in the coastal town of Porbandar and arrested four accused, including a woman.A woman from Surat was taken into custody while three youngsters from Srinagar were detained. The ATS was informed that the suspects who had been apprehended were a part of the ISIS terror cell. They located them and followed their whereabouts. The operation to smash the terror outfit began in Porbandar late on Friday under the direction of DIG Deepan Bhadran and SP Sunil Joshi.The detained suspects intended to join the Islamic State of Khorasan (ISKP), an affiliate of the Islamic State, after fleeing to Afghanistan for training. After arriving in Porbandar, they intended to charter a boat to travel to Afghanistan. Three Kashmiri youths were found with various pieces of jihadi literature during the operation, according to the police. They also retrieved from their mobile phones various ISKP banner flags as well as video and audio recordings of Kashmiri youth speaking to the “Ameer ul Momineen” (Commander of the Faithful and Leader).At Sumaira Banu’s home in Surat, the police confiscated Islamic literature from her tablet and phone. They were employed as labourers in Porbandar before the accused were taken into custody by the police. They were intended to serve as captains and GPS coordinators on fishing boats, according to the police. The cops have also taken some guns from them in addition to this. The apprehended suspects had been in communication with terrorist organisations like IS over the previous 12 months. Zubair Mohammad, another Kashmiri, was also supposed to go to Afghanistan with the four accused. Police started a quest to find the fugitive Zubair Mohammad.
